Property Giant UOL Part Of STI

The Straits Times Index (STI) warmly welcomes UOL, a property big gun as part of the 30-strong stocks, effective from 21 September 2015. UOL’s inclusion is an endorsement of its strong and favorable position in the market. STI stocks are required to have strong liquidity or an active trading level of at least 0.1% of their issued shares based on average daily volume for 10 of the 12 months prior to a review date, typically in Mar or in Sept.

Two other entrants are engineering firm SATS and ship builder Yangzijiang. Together with UOL these 3 active stocks will take over the places of Jardine Strategic Holdings, Jardine Matheson Holdings and Olam Int’l.

This piece of great news should give buyers of UOL properties lots of confidence for sure. An existing UOL development that is doing exceptionally well is Botanique @ Bartley, wowing buyers with its layout and superb quality.

One other development to keep an eye on is the Principal Garden, a collaboration between UOL and Kheng Leong. This development will be unparalleled in terms of its great lush green views of the Botanic Gardens and farther beyond, the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. Principal Garden will overlook its immediate neighbour, the prestigious Tanglin and Chatsworth Good Class Bungalows (GCBs).
