Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong just made this breaking news announcement after the Leaders’ Retreat with the Malaysian Prime Minister Najib.
Jurong East has been selected as the site for the new High Speed Rail as the area has been slated to be developed into Singapore’s 2nd Central Business District (CBD).
Travelling time between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore will be cut down to just 90 minutes!
The completion of the project which was initally agreed to be by 2020 will be reconfirmed again after a thorough assessment of the complexity and scale of the mega project.
