SMEs Set Up Shop At Seletar Aerospace Park

The Seletar Aerospace Park is a 300-hectare (ha) aerospace hub. Works on this hub started in 2008 to make it into a modern aviation centre with aircraft hangers, buildings and factories.

In the recent months, a number of small and medium companies have been taking up office and factory spaces at Seletar Aerospace Park. To cater to the growing number of SMEs, two new towers of ten and eleven storeys high and seven factories will be built by JTC Corporation to accommodate more firms to take up space. These new add-ons are in addition to the current seven-storey building, JTC Aviation One and eight factories.

The SMEs are encouraged to set up shops at Seletar Aerospace Park in order to provide support services to the other firms there. These services include overhaul and repair works. Being closer to their customers, these SMEs can be more efficient in terms of time savings and transport savings. Economies of scale can be achieved too as the industralists, suppliers and service providers are gathered in one area.
